Minimal editing, just the frame/border surrounding the image so it can be trimmed and matted later Yes to lens correction Possibly a couple of positives, both the direct inversion + the color it would have been printed during the time period

A new lens is fine if we’re having a consistently hard time seeing details, but also a second close up shot for sporadic issues is fine

Keeping the camera set up is fine
